Indifference as moderation

Just as virtue is the midpoint of two vices, so too are support and opposition bisected by indifference. Thus the 'opposite' of support should be indifference rather than opposition, as support and opposition are mirrors of one another and to oppose is to direct energy at something just as much as to support is, whereas indifference is to withhold energy.
