Chart at: horoscopes.astro-seek.com/calculate-birth-chart-horoscope-online/

Note: this is an exercise in learning about mundane astrology and is a work-in-progress. And whilst this is a bit late to be doing the Cancer Ingress, it applies for the full nine months, so is still relevant.

Period of Ingress: The fixed sign Taurus is rising, so this chart conditions the Aries Ingress chart for the remaining nine months of the year.

Summary: The government is likely to encounter scandals and issues over wasteful expenditure. There will be significant dissatisfaction, but it won’t erupt. The economy will carry on okay despite this.

Ruling Planet: With Taurus rising, Venus, the ruler of Taurus, is the ruling planet of this chart (as it was of the Aries Ingress). Venus is peregrine in Leo, conjunct with the Moon and Mars, square with Jupiter and is angular in the 4th house.

Sun: The Sun represent the PM and in this chart is trine with Saturn, suggesting govt strength (if not popularity) and square with Neptune, suggesting risks to the position or reputation of important political figures. The Sun is in the second house which indicates issues with government expenditure and budget troubles.

Moon: The Moon represents the political classes and in this chart is peregrine in Leo, helped by a conjunction with Venus, favourable for foreign relations, but hindered by a square with Jupiter which overall suggests prosperity but wasteful expenditures with scandals likely. It is in the fourth house which is favourable for the opposition.

First House - the common people: The cusp is in Taurus which is ruled by Venus. Venus is peregrine in Leo, conjunct with the Moon, suggesting an upbeat mood, conjunct also with Mars and square with Jupiter, both warning of extravagant spending and scandal, and is angular in the 4th house, indicating bad weather and troubles for agriculture and women in politics.

Second House - the general economy: The cusp is in Gemini which is ruled by Mercury. Mercury is also in its rulership in Gemini in this house and is helped by a sextile with Mars which is favourable for the intellectual sphere and communication and transport, and favours trade.

Third House - transportation, communications, media: The cusp is in Cancer which is ruled by the Moon which is peregrine in Leo but debilitated by a square with Jupiter, and conjunct with Venus. This suggests prosperity but with scandals potentially in the media.

Fourth House - agricultural, real estate, the opposition: The cusp is in Leo which is ruled by the Sun. The Sun is trine with Saturn, and square with Neptune, and is in the second house which indicates issues with government expenditure and budget troubles. The Moon, Venus and Mars are all clustered in this house, but their aspects are very mixed.

Fifth House - speculation, tourism, entertainment industry, sport: The cusp is in Virgo which is ruled by Mercury. Mercury is also in its rulership in Gemini in the second house and is helped by a sextile with Mars. This suggests good prospects for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Sixth House - public health, labour force, civil service: The cusp is in Libra which is ruled by Venus, the ruling planet of the chart. Venus is peregrine in Leo, conjunct with the Moon and Mars, square with Jupiter and is angular in the 4th house. This is quite mixed and suggests an unsettled state of affairs for public health and the labour force.

Seventh House - foreign affairs: The cusp is in Scorpio which is ruled by Mars. Mars is peregrine in Leo, helped by a sextile with Mercury and conjunction with Venus, but is debilitated by a square with Uranus, and is in the fourth house. This suggests a good time for foreign affairs in general, but disquiet from some groups.

Eighth House - foreign trade: The cusp is in Scorpio like with the seventh house, so similar outcomes expected.

Ninth House - judiciary, universities, air travel: The cusp is in Capricorn which is ruled by Saturn. Saturn is peregrine in Pisces and angular in the tenth house and helped by a sextile with Jupiter and trine with the Sun. This favours judicial rulings.

Tenth House - the executive branch: The cusp is in Aquarius which is ruled by Uranus. Uranus is in its fall in Taurus, and debilitated by a square with Mars, but angular in the first house, suggesting more dissatisfaction and discord. Saturn in this house gives the executive strength but not popularity, so the dissatisfaction is not expected to erupt into protests.

Eleventh House - the legislature: The cusp is in Pisces which is ruled by Neptune which is here in its rulership but square with the Sun, suggesting conflict with the PM and the people.

Twelfth House - national institutions: The cusp is in Aries which is ruled by Mars. Mars is peregrine in Leo, helped by a sextile with Mercury and conjunction with Venus, but is debilitated by a square with Uranus, and is in the fourth house. This suggests national institutions will have a mixed time.
